ARINC 818-2 on bi-directional
HIGH-SPEED COAX (HSC)
ARINC 818-2 on coax offers a robust option where a copper physical layer and bi-directional communication is desired. It is a natural successor to HOTLink II™, offering the same flexibility at greater link rates over common coaxial cable.

GRT now offers these ARINC 818 products in High-Speed Coax (HSC) versions:
HSC already offers link rates up to 3.1875 Gb/s, and GRT expects the rate to reach 6.375 Gb/s during 2016.
GRT's HSC Implementations
GRT's HSC implementations for ARINC 818 include a high-speed video path (for example, 3.1875 Gb/s) and a low-speed data return path (20 Mb/s) over a single coaxial cable. Using common coaxial cable, distances of 50 meters are possible, depending on the link rate and cable quality.

ARINC 818 HSC is ideal for applications where a bi-directional copper interface are required, such as high-resolution optical or infrared sensors and where the cable must pass through a slip ring.
